The next version of the General Public License may tackle the issue of Web companies that use free software in commercial Web-based applications but don’t distribute the source code.

At present, companies that distribute GPL-licensed software must make the source code publicly available, including any modifications they’ve made. Though the rule covers many businesses that use GPL-licensed software for commercial ends, it doesn’t cover Web companies that use such software to offer their services through the Web, as they’re not actually distributing the software.

Que tal… el dia Sabado 24 de Sep 2005, RRC y Yo (janux) fuimos al aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de Guadalajara Jalisco, México ha eso de las 6:40 PM para esperar a Richard Stallman, que originalmente llegaba a las 7:10 pm, si llegó a tiempo 7:20 pm, bien pues le llevamos a LinuxCabal, y se sentia mal por el calor asi que le ubicamos una mesa fuera del area de cocina, en fin aqui esta tragando el famoso spagetty de los Install Fests ,

Bien despues de cenar algunas de las personas que asistieron al Install Fest tubieron la oportunidad de saludar a Stallman, buena onda … para las 11 PM fui por un ventilador por que seguia con calor, pero ya refrescaba un poco la ciudad… en fin … hay le seguire despues por que stamos organizando la comida de mañana …

Pues bien, desues de decidir si el dia 16 de sep. se tendrian clases en la master o no… finalmente se decide que … no vamos el 16 a clases y no vamos el sabado a clases …. EXELENTE, nos vamos al rancho a disfrutar de la naturaleza……. que locos clases en 16 y en 17 es PUENTE !!
